EDIT // I was also very silly and made a new account with my design freelance name, viastein, before I realized my fiancé was buying me a core subscription! I could have just changed my username X3 But, instead I'm using it as an opportunity to brand myself two different ways. This account will continue to hold all my traditional art that I hope to create, and viastein will be for my more professional, freelance photography and graphic design! //
My life has finally begun to settle, the wrinkles are finally ironed out! My fiancé and I are living (mostly) happily with his parents as we wait to buy the nice house across the street, and we both have great full-time jobs in our fields. I'm currently a graphic designer for my local newspaper, which also does magazines, and looking to continue freelance work on the side and sell more photography prints.
Our wedding is also this May, so I've been staying busy with preparations! We're making our own invitations, wedding website, and decorations under a Japanese/cherry/plum blossom theme. It's a small gathering, but still surprisingly a handful at times!
Right now I have a stack of watercolour supplies that I would love to start doodling with, along with a gorgeous calligraphy pen my fiancé loving got me for my birthday So watercolour, calligraphy, and photography are three big goals of mine this year! It's just been difficult not having a dedicated space where I can constantly keep things I tend to have piles and one armchair, as opposed to an office! But my co-worker/supervisor is also an artist, and I hope once spring comes we can start taking lunch breaks together at our local river park Until then, practicing and testing techniques is a great way to spend the winter. Altogether, graduating college and getting a career has really made me feel the most confident and put together I've ever felt. It makes me feel like I can really succeed and enjoy art to its fullest now
